In this post we will take a look at Lync Control panel, enable Lync access to users.<\/p>\n<p>On the Front End Server<strong> FE.PRAJWAL.LOCAL, <\/strong>launch the<strong> Lync Control Panel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3626 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-2.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 2\" width=\"1017\" height=\"601\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Provide the credentials. We will use <strong>Lyncadmin<\/strong> user account to login to Lync Client.<\/p>\n<p>Note : To login to Lync Client the user account must be the member of CSAdministrator Group.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3627 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-3.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 3\" width=\"439\" height=\"316\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We will turn off the <strong>IE ESC<\/strong> to fix this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3628 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-4.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 4\" width=\"406\" height=\"364\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the <strong>Front End Server<\/strong>, Launch the <strong>Server Manager<\/strong>, at the left click on <strong>Local Server<\/strong>. On the right hand side of the page we see that<strong> IE Enhanced Security Configuration<\/strong> is <strong>On<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3629 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-5.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 5\" width=\"1025\" height=\"722\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Turn off IE ESC for both users and Administrators. In our case we will enable Lync for user <strong>James.Bond@prajwal.local<\/strong>. From the search results select the user. Click OK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-10.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3634 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-10.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 10\" width=\"972\" height=\"705\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The user that we selected appears under Users panel. We have to assign the user to a <strong>Pool.<\/strong> Select Front End Server (FE.PRAJWAL.LOCAL) and choose <strong>SIP URI<\/strong> as <strong>&lt;firstname&gt;. &lt;lastname&gt;@prajwal.local.<\/strong> Click <strong>Enable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3635 disappear appear\" src=\"http:\/\/prajwaldesai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Installation-Of-Lync-Server-2013-Standard-Edition-Part-4-Snap-11.jpg\" alt=\"Installation Of Lync Server 2013 Standard Edition Part 4 Snap 11\" width=\"966\" height=\"702\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We see the user is now enabled for Lync. The Lync 2013 client comes with Office 2013 suite. While you install Office 2013 you should<br \/>\nchoose<strong> customize<\/strong> and select <strong>Lync Client<\/strong> for Installation. On the Client machine, launch the Lync Client.
